Visit the Friends of Pando Science Communication Center to separate fact from fiction—from the people who work to care for Pando.
Friends of Pando develops and gathers data about the Pando Tree and the land it calls home. As a citizen-science-led organization, we are committed to Open Science and make our research and findings freely available for review, study and for others to build upon.
Friends of Pando works to collect, curate maps about Pando, and publish our data via the Pando Living Map Project. Visit the Pando Living Map Project page to dive into our collection of maps, monitoring data and plot studies.
Friends of Pando is documenting the entire Pando Tree using high-resolution 360-degree cameras. As the largest image of a tree ever gathered, this first-of-its -kind rephotography project allows anyone to explore the tree and helps scientists and land managers plan research and develop policies.
